KENNESAW, Ga. –Â
Kamiyah Street, who continues to lead the Kennesaw State women's basketball team, earned a pair of honors on Tuesday (Dec. 19) after being named the ASUN Conference Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week.

The accolades mark the first time Street has been named the conference's Player of the Week and second time earning Freshman of the Week.

The Atlanta native continued her solid rookie season with another stellar performance in a road victory over Georgia Southern on Dec. 15. The freshman guard recorded her first career double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds while adding two assists and two steals.

Street scored the game-winning basket on a layup with :12 remaining in overtime and sealed the 60-58 victory with a free throw in the closing seconds. The Owls' guard also hit a jumper with :16 remaining in regulation to tie the score and force overtime.

Street leads KSU in scoring, averaging 15.6 points a game while reaching double figures in nine of 11 games this season. She leads all ASUN Conference freshmen and ranks second in the league in scoring.

The Owls return to action on Jan. 3 when they visit Savannah State. Tip-off is 7 p.m. (ET).
