KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. -
The Kennesaw State women's golf team took second place after the third and final round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Oct. 24) at the par-72, 5,981-yard Turtle Point Golf Course.

"We didn't play our best golf today," head coach Rhyll Brinsmead said. " We did find a way to continue grinding it out over 18 holes for a second place finish, and I'm so very proud of the team. Ole Miss played great today and deserved this win. This was a huge week for our continued confidence and momentum. The energy this team has every day is contagious, and I love coaching them. It has been such a fun fall, and I'm excited we get another shot at a title this weekend."

The Owls recorded a 13-over par 301 in the final round to finish the tournament with a three-round total of 27-over par 891. Ole Miss won the event with a 19-over par total of 883. KSU collected wins over No. 48 Campbell, Chattanooga, North Florida and others in the 17-team field.
