LIVE STATS AT MERCER

KENNESAW, Ga. --
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team kicks off a busy week Wednesday afternoon with a date against Mercer on the road in Macon. The match begins at 2:30 p.m. at the LeRoy Peddy Tennis Center.

Following Wednesday's match, the Owls are at the Betty Siegel Courts on Saturday afternoon for their 2017 home opener versus Belmont. Live stats for both matches will be available at KSUOwls.com.

"We will have two tough tests this week as we face Mercer and Belmont," said Director of Tennis Eduardo Rincon. "Really, my only expectation is for us to go out there and compete very hard, both physically and mentally. In both of our previous matches, we've improved as the matches went on. As long as we're doing that, we will be OK. Both teams are very well coached and tough competitors, so we look forward to the challenge and to a great week of college tennis."

The Owls are 0-2 on the young season, but are already battle-tested by having faced on the road No. 11 Florida (Jan. 21) and the nation's top-ranked NAIA team, Georgia Gwinnett, last weekend. Mercer enters Wednesday's match with a 1-2 mark.

Kennesaw State and Mercer are scheduled to meet again April 12 in Kennesaw.
