ETSU/ MHSA Athletic Center
The Mountain States Health Alliance Athletics Center is the most notable figure along the Johnson City skyline. A multi-sport facility completed in 1977. The 4.5-acre complex contains multiple basketball courts, six tennis courts, three racquetball courts, indoor batting cages, a rifle range, a full-size indoor track, numerous locker rooms, facilities for weight training and athletic training, a sports medicine rehab clinic, and a physical education research laboratory. The massive "Mini-Dome" - which was once the home of ETSU football and now serves as the team's indoor practice facility - also acts as the home of ETSU's track and field program, while also housing the administrative offices for ETSU Athletics.
