THE STORYLINE:Â
· Georgia State scored the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth and overcame a 3-2 deficit, taking down Kennesaw State at the GSU Baseball Complex Wednesday evening, 4-3.
· A combined nine pitchers were used on the night, as the Owls used five in the non-conference mid-week showdown.
· With the loss, KSU dropped to 20-23 overall, while Georgia State improved to 19-21 overall on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· The ballgame, which lasted 3:04, saw the largest lead grow to just two runs over a well-played non-conference affair that had two lead changes and one tie.
· The Owls wasted no time and jumped on the scoreboard first, plating two runs on back-to-back RBI off the bats of
Griffin Helms and
Jeremy Howell.
· After the Panthers tied the game at 2-2 with runs in the third and fourth, Kennesaw State took the lead once again when
Chris Erwin –who doubled to lead off the frame—crossed home on a wild pitch.
· The Panthers took their first lead of the ballgame with two runs in the sixth frame, with a one-out RBI single to take a 4-3 lead.
· The lead proved to be enough as the Panthers held of KSU's offensive attack over the final four innings to take the mid-week clash.
· A combined 23 batters were left on base for GSU and Kennesaw State, as Georgia Southern capitalized in four of the five innings the leadoff batter reached base.

Mason Ward and
Richard Lovelady each worked scoreless outings out of the pen for the Owls, allowing a combined three hits and struck out three.
