· With the win, KSU improved to 20-20 overall and 10-1 in conference play, while Lipscomb fell to 19-20 overall and 3-5 in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
·  The righty recorded his longest outing of his Owl career, tossing 8.1 shutout innings on the day and held Lipscomb to just six hits.
· Moore totaled three innings in which the Bisons could not manage a hit, while facing five over the minimum for the day.
· In fact, Moore threw 114 pitches for the day and 79 for strikes as the righty issued just one walk for his outing.
· With Moore rolling on the mound, the Owls jumped on the scoreboard early and often in Saturday's contest, plating a run in the first, two more in the second and one in the third to take a 4-0 lead and never trailed in the ballgame.
· All four runs were scored with two outs, as Brennan Morgan's double in the first, Chris Erwin's two-run RBI single in the second and Grant Williams' single in the third all plated runs for Kennesaw State.
· Offensively, the Owls scored four runs on 11 hits for the ballgame, as the top five hitters (Corey Greeson, Chris Erwin, Austin Upshaw, Brennan Morgan and Taylor Allum) combined for nine hits and three RBI.
· Richard Lovelady entered the ninth inning with one out and shut the door, earning his fourth save of the season.

QUOTABLE
"I thought AJ (Moore) did an excellent job today. He got in a great rhythm and he worked ahead and worked both sides of the plate. It was encouraging to see and he looked great all day."
