Tennis Preview
The Kennesaw State men's tennis squad enters the 2016 A-Sun Championships as the No. 6 seed and will take on No. 3 Stetson Friday afternoon in the opening round. The winner will move on to take on No. 1 seed FGCU.

The Owls (9-9, 1-5) dropped a hard-fought 4-3 final to the Hatters on March 31 in DeLand, Florida and will look to turn things around against Stetson where it matters most. Kennesaw State won its most matches in a single season under Director of Tennis Eduardo Rincon and will look to improve on that number Friday afternoon.

Postseason Awards
The Owls had several members of the team honored with postseason awards. Simon Pritchard, who has played as the No. 1 all season long, was honored Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year and was a unanimous choice to the First Team All-Conference squad. Manuel Castellanos and Sam Slade received honors to the Second Team All-Conference and Lucas de Torres Curth was tabbed to the Freshman Team. In addition, the Owls' lone senior, Jorge Wilton, was also named to the A-Sun All-Academic Team.

The Last Time Out
The Kennesaw State men's tennis team dropped a hard-fought Atlantic Sun Conference showdown against Lipscomb at the Betty Siegel Student Center on the campus of KSU, as the Bisons took a 4-3 final on senior day.

Senior Jorge Wilton was honored in a ceremony between the singles and doubles portion of the match.

The Owls (9-9) played a back-and-forth match with the Bisons under beautiful conditions.

Simon Pritchard  (6-4, 6-2), Sam Slade (6-4, 6-0) and Drew Wendel (6-2, 6-0) collected wins in their single matches, before Lipscomb broke a 3-3 deadlock battle with the final singles victory on the afternoon.

Lipscomb won the doubles point collecting a pair of wins. The Owls top doubles duo of Pritchard and Manuel Castellanos collected a 6-4 win to push their record to 10-0 on the season and 6-0 in conference play when paired together.
