HOW IT HAPPENED:

· Trailing 4-0, Kennesaw State broke up JSU's starter Colton Pate's shutout bid when senior

th RBI of the season, bringing home
Jordan Getzelman with two outs to pull the Owls within three.
· Kennesaw State scored for the second consecutive inning when sophomore
Grant Williams tallied his 14
th RBI of the season in the top of the fifth, bringing home
Matt Mixon –who doubled to lead off the frame—and gave the Owls their second run of the ballgame.
· The Gamecocks, however, scored two runs in the fourth, three more in the fifth and a run in the sixth to take a 10-2 lead into the final third of the ballgame – which proved to be enough for the night.
· Kennesaw State used six pitchers on the night, as
Will Bice and
Logan Hutchinson each tossed scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
