Owls Clinch A-Sun Conference Tournament BerthKennesaw State secured its sixth Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament appearance following its victory over USC Upstate on Saturday (April 9). The Owls will be appearing in the conference postseason for the second consecutive year. Â With a win over Lipscomb on Saturday, Kennesaw State will lock up the No. 4 seed and play Stetson in the first round of the tournament that begins April 22 in Spartanburg, S.C. If the Owls fall to the Bisons, they will open tournament action as the No. 5 seed and play No. 2 seed Florida Gulf Coast.

The Series vs. LipscombKennesaw State and Lipscomb will be meeting for the ninth time on Saturday with the Owls leading the all-time series, 5-3. The Bisons have captured the last meetings, including a 6-1 victory in Nashville in 2015.

The Last Time OutKennesaw State was last in action on Saturday (April 9) and posted a 6-1 victory at USC Upstate. The Owls (3-15, 2-3) won matches at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions to capture the first point of the match.Â

Alexandra Mercado outlasted Flippa Ericson, 6-4, 6-7 (0-3), 11-6 at No. 2 singles.Â
Cristina Martinwas a 6-4, 4-6, 10-8 winner No. 3 singles, while De Wet and Cantrell won their matches at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
