THE STORYLINE:Â
· Kennesaw State dropped a mid-week clash to crosstown rival Georgia Tech Tuesday evening, 13-2, at Stillwell Stadium in front of a season-high 1,384 fans.
· The crowd marked the second-largest in Kennesaw State program history, and the second time in a week the Owls hosted a crowd over 1,000. Â
· The Yellow Jackets scored eight runs over the first four frames and never trailed in the mid-week showdown, producing 13 runs on 16 hits throughout the night.
· The loss dropped the Owls to 7-14 overall, while No. 21 Yellow Jackets improved 16-4 on the season. Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
· Georgia Tech produced three crooked scoring innings throughout the first four frames, plating two runs in the first, three runs in the third and three more in the fourth frame.
· The Owls broke the Yellow Jackets' shutout bid with two runs in the bottom half of the fourth, with an RBI sac fly off the bat of
Brennan Morgan and an RBI single from sophomore
Grant Williams.
·  Reeves, who made his ninth appearance of the season out of the pen, tossed a scoreless 1.1 innings, stopping a six-run scoring outburst over two frames from Tech's lineup.
