MARIETTA, Ga. – Senior Asheigh De Wet highlighted the Kennesaw State women's team's match against Mercer on Wednesday (Mar. 2) at the Fair Oaks Park in Marietta.
Â
DeWet, playing at No. 5 singles, defeated Haley Powell, 7-6 (2), 5-7, 10-5 as the Owls (1-8) fell to the Bears (5-6).
Â
"Mercer came ready to play. They out competed us as a team," assistant head coach
Miranda Foley said. "Bottom line, we did not perform as a team today. We had some good individual performances but we must do a better job of handling our emotions, especially when things get tough."
Â
Kennesaw State returns to the courts on Saturday when it travels to Western Kentucky for a 10 a.m. match.
