Owls Drop Mid-Week Clash To Georgia, 4-2

THE STORYLINE: 
· Georgia out-dueled the Kennesaw State Owls on Tuesday evening at Stillwell Stadium, taking a 4-2 final in a non-conference showdown.
· The Bulldogs used three runs over the first two frames and never trailed in the contest to earn the win.
· Kevin Smith (3-0) out-dueled KSU's starter Tony Dibrell (0-1) on the mound to earn his third victory.
· The loss dropped the Owls to 7-9 overall, while the Bulldogs improved to 13-5 on the season.  

HOW IT HAPPENED: 
· UGA strung together three solo home runs over the first two frames to grab a 3-0 lead.
· Tony Dibrell made his third start of the season on the bump, allowing three runs on six hits in 6.0 frames. · That was the only damage off Dibrell as the righty worked four scoreless innings after the Bulldogs put up three runs.
· Georgia countered with Smith, tossing 6.0 inning and allowed a run on four hits.  
· Kennesaw State got on the board in the bottom of the fifth, capitalizing on one of two UGA errors in the ballgame as senior Justin Motley scored on a throwing error from second.
· The Owls clawed within two when Brennan Morgan hit his third home run of the season in the bottom half of the eighth.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 
· Kennesaw State broadcasted on ESPN3 for the first time in program history Tuesday evening versus Georgia.  
· Tony Dibrell has struck out at least seven batters in an outing over his last three starts.
· Stillwell Stadium's attendance was announced at 1,207, which was the most since April 3, 2012 vs. Georgia Tech (1,314).
 
UP NEXT
 The Owls are back in action Wednesday night, hosting the Golden Eagles of Tennessee Tech. First pitch is set for 5 p.m., and will be broadcasted on ESPN3.
