FacebookWeekend PreviewAfter playing the first month of the season on the road, the Kennesaw State women's tennis team will play its first match on its home courts when it hosts Charleston Southern Friday (Feb. 26) at the Siegel Student Recreation & Activities Center. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. (ET).
 
In addition to playing their first home contest of the 2016 season, the Owls will also play the inaugural match at the Siegel Student Recreation & Activities Center that officially opened last fall.
 
Kennesaw State enters play Friday with a 1-6 record after recording a 1-2 mark at the Alabama State Invitational in Montgomery, Ala.
Quoting Assistant Head Coach Miranda Foley"This is a big moment for Kennesaw State tennis. To be able to play on campus is something we as a team have all been waiting for and are beyond excited about," assistant head coach 
Miranda Foley said. "We look forward to having support and showing everyone what the women's tennis team is made of. We will embrace this new experience and learn to understand what it takes to protect our house." 
Getting to the Siegel Student Recreation & Activities Center
Fans interested in attending the match can enter the facility from Kennesaw State University Drive, which off of Chastain Road and adjacent to Stillwell Stadium and Bailey Park.The Series vs. Charleston SouthernKennesaw State and Charleston will meet for the first time on Friday.
 
The Last Time OutKennesaw State opened play at the Alabama State Invitational with a 5-1 victory over Jacksonville State on Feb. 12. The Owls captured the doubles point then recorded wins at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 singles, with 
Isabela Castro clinching the victory at No. 4. KSU concluded the weekend with setbacks against Alabama State (4-3) and Georgia Southern (6-1).

Alexandra Mercado all lead Kennesaw State with two dual match wins apiece, with Martin posting two victories at No. 1 singles.
