GAMEDAY STORYLINES
• The Owls (0-3) and Panthers (2-2) are set to meet Tuesday (Nov. 22) at the GSU Sports Arena. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
• The 2016-17 season marks the 35th year of Kennesaw State women's basketball and 12th at the NCAA Division I level.
• Highly-respected head coach Agnus Berenato is in her first season leading the Owls' program.
• Berenato is in her 30th season as a head coach that includes tenures at Rider (1981-85), Georgia Tech (1988-2003) and Pitt (2003-13). Heading into Tuesday's game, Berenato has posted a 444-416 (.516) record and guided her teams to 11 postseason appearances (5 NCAA, 6 WNIT).
• During her tenure as Georgia Tech's head coach, Berenato posted a 9-1 record against Georgia State in a series that spanned from 1993-2002.
• Kennesaw State is in the midst of playing five consecutive teams from the state of Georgia. The stretch began on Nov. 16 when the Owls hosted Georgia Tech at the KSU Convocation Center. KSU will also play Georgia State (Nov. 22), Savannah State (Nov. 26), Georgia (Nov. 29) and Mercer (Dec. 3).
• The Owls are playing their second road of game of the year. KSU opened its season at Vanderbilt (Nov. 11) before playing back-to-back home games versus Jacksonville State (Nov. 14) and Georgia Tech (Nov. 16).
• Kennesaw State is seeking its first win of the season.

Fifth Third Bank is donating $53 to Stand Up to Cancer for every 3-pointer that the Kennesaw State women's basketball team makes during the season.
 
GEORGIA TECH RECAP
Kennesaw State received double-digit scoring from juniors Clara Young and Kelly Dulkoski during an 86-49 loss to Georgia on Nov. 16 at the KSU Convocation Center. The Yellow Jackets took advantage of their size and depth to assume control of the game early in the third quarter and out-scored the Owls 48-18 in the second half. Young led Kennesaw State with 13 points, while Dulkoski added 12. Georgia Tech received balanced scoring as five players finished in double figures, led by Zaire O'Neil and Francesca Pan, who shared game-high honors with 14 points apiece.
 
SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE
The Panthers are currently 2-2 on the season following a 72-66 loss to UNCW Sunday (Nov. 20) at the GSU Sports Arena. Georgia State has wins over Morehead State (68-50) and Allen University (96-58). The Panthers also suffered a 69-59 setback to Eastern Michigan in a neutral site contest. Georgia State has two players averaging in double figures and is led by senior forward Tiffany Holston, who is contributing 12.8 points and 8.5 rebounds a contest.
 
SERIES VERSUS GEORGIA STATE
Tuesday's contest will mark the ninth all-time meeting between Georgia State and Kennesaw State, and the Panthers lead the series, 7-1. The teams have split the last two games played, including a 66-62 Georgia State win at the KSU Convocation Center in 2015. The Owls recorded a 73-64 victory at the GSU Sports Arena in 2014 for their first win in the series.
 
UP NEXT
Following Tuesday's contest, Kennesaw State returns home to the KSU Convocation Center to host Savannah State on Saturday (Nov. 26). Tip-off is 12 p.m. 
 
TWO OWLS AVERAGING DOUBLE FIGURES
After three games, Kennesaw State has two players averaging in double figures. Sophomore Allison Johnson tops the team with 15.0 points a contest, while junior guard Clara Young is contributing 12.7 points a contest.
 
ALLISON JOHNSON IN THE ASUN
Sophomore Allison Johnson is off to a solid start this season as she ranks fifth in the ASUN in scoring (15.0) and sixth in rebounding (8.7).
 
CLARA YOUNG
Junior guard Clara Young, who has been the Owls' leading scorer in two of their first three games, ranks 11th in the ASUN in scoring with 12.7 points per game, third in assists (3.7) and fifth in free throw percentage (83.3 percent).
 
COACHING CONNECTIONS
The 2016-17 schedule features two opponents that are led by former assistants of first-year head coach Agnus Berenato. MaChelle Joseph, who was an assistant under Berenato at Georgia Tech, is now leading the Yellow Jackets' program, while her former assistant at Pitt, Yolett McPhee-McCuin, is now guiding the Jacksonville program.
 
GUEST COACHES
New head coach Agnus Berenato has started a guest coaches program this season. Tuesday's guest coach will be Danielle Donehew, who currently serves as executive director of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). Donehew also played for Berenato at Georgia Tech from 1997-2000.
 
THE COACHING STAFF
Head coach Agnus Berenato has assembled an experienced and well-respected coaching staff. Including Berenato's 29 years as a Division I head coach, the KSU coaching staff has a combined 55 years of experience at the Division I level. The staff is comprised of Khadija Head (8 years), Sherill Baker (4 years) and Lisa Pace (14 years).
 
WELCOME TO THE NEST
Head coach Agnus Berenato announced her first signing class on Thursday as the coaching staff inked four players to National Letters-of-Intent and one individual to a Grant-In-Aid. Brianna Dixon (Duluth, Ga. / Duluth High School), Breanna Hoover (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk High School), Lexi Mann (Stone Mountain, Ga. / Greater Atlanta Christian) and Alexis Poole (Ellenwood, Ga. / Stockbridge High School) have signed National Letters-of-Intent and will enroll at Kennesaw State next fall. Caroline Dan (Copenhagen, Denmark / Falkonergaarden Gymnasium) has signed a Grant-In-Aid and will join the program in January.
 
OWLS 6TH IN ASUN COACHES POLL
Kennesaw State, coming off an 11-19 season and fifth-place finish a year ago, was picked sixth in the ASUN Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll. Jacksonville, which captured last season's conference tournament, was picked first in the poll after receiving 60 points and five first-place votes. Regular-season champion Florida Gulf Coast was voted second, after collecting two first-place votes and 55 points. Kennesaw State garnered 23 points.
