Tallahassee, Fla.- Eight members of the Kennesaw State Cross Country teams finished their season in Tallahassee, Florida at the NCAA Cross Country South Regionals at the Apalachee Regional Park on Friday, November 11.
Six Owls ran in the women's 6k race.
Kidan Kidane finished 72nd in 21:51.6 in her final collegiate cross country meet. She ends her stellar cross country career with 15 top-10 finishes in 21 events and as the Owls top finisher in her last 14 meets. The five other women who ran for KSU all were making their debut at the NCAA South Regionals. Caitlyn Farrell grabbed 128th place in 22:51.4, while teammate
Lexi Froh grabbed 129th in 22:53.6.
Saidah Grant finished 177th in 23:36.7.
Kaitlin Franklin (24:20.9) and
Bonnie McKinnon (24:24.9) finished 199th and 201st respectively to round out the scoring for the Owls. The women's team finished 26th overall.
Paul Schupp and
Jordan Hand represented the Owls in the men's 10K race. Schupp was the Owls top finisher for the sixth-straight meet finishing 99th in 33:32.00. He wrapped up his first season for KSU with four top-20 finishes in six events. Hand finished 136th in 34:17.2. He closed out his season with four top-33 finishes in six meets.
The Owls will transition and begin preparing for the indoor track season which begins on Friday, January 13th at the ETSU Invitational.
