COLUMBIA, Mo. –
The Kennesaw State women's golf team fired its two lowest rounds of the season during the first two rounds of the Johnie Imes Invitational on Monday (Oct. 3) at the par-72, 7,2231-yard Club at Old Hawthorne.

The Owls carded rounds of 294 ( +6) and 287 (-1)  for a five-over par total of 287 and sit in third place through 36 holes of play after making 27 birdies and tying for the field lead with 114 pars.

"Overall a very solid day for the team," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We had phenomenal play from Medy and Dulcie today and solid back up from the entire lineup. To shoot 294 and then back it up with 287 shows the tenacious nature of this team. We have got so much talent and the entire roster is believing more and more in themselves each round we play. We are excited to be in the lead group tomorrow and vie for a win."
