KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team (1-13) travels to Macon, Ga. this week to face in-state rival Mercer before heading to the Palmetto State to take on USC Upstate in its last match of the season. The match against Mercer is scheduled for Tuesday (Apr. 7) at 3 p.m. ET while the match against USC Upstate is set for Saturday (Apr. 11) at 2 p.m. ET.

On Saturday, KSU hosted Lipscomb in its last home match of the season at Fair Oaks Park. The Owls celebrated seniors
Virginie Stein and
Jana Hueckinghaus for their dedication to the program prior to the match. The Black and Gold came up short in a 6-1 battle against the Bison; Stein recorded the lone win for the Owls at No. 1 singles.

MercerMercer, led by head coach Eric Hayes, is currently 4-15 on the dual-match season and sits 0-5 in the SoCon Conference. The Owls lead the Bears in wins with an all-time record of 5-2. Mercer came out on top in the last meeting with a 4-3 victory over KSU.

The Bears will come into Tuesday's contest on a nine-match losing streak, after falling 6-1 to Samford on Wednesday (Apr. 1) and losing 7-0 to Furman on Thursday (Apr. 2).

USC UpstateUpstate, led by head coach Dr. Oliver Trittenwein, is 3-15 on the season and 1-4 in the Atlantic Sun after a 4-3 win over Northern Kentucky on Saturday (Apr. 4). KSU is 4-3 all-time against the Spartans, topping Upstate 4-3 in its last meeting.

The Spartans will host ETSU on Friday (Apr. 10) in Spartanburg, S.C., before the Owls come to town on Saturday (Apr. 11) to close its season at the USC Upstate Tennis Complex.
