KENNESAW, Ga. – After dropping a pair of matches on the road last week, the Kennesaw State men's tennis team (5-10) return to action this week against Northern Kentucky on the road and Lipscomb at Fair Oaks Park. The match against Northern Kentucky is scheduled for Thursday (Apr. 2) at 11 a.m. ET while the match against Lipscomb will take place on Saturday (Apr. 4) at 10 a.m. ET.

Dominating DoublesKSU has been outstanding in doubles play throughout season. With an overall doubles record of 11-4, the Owls have won the last eight out of nine competitions; even clinching the doubles point against the No. 58 ranked Troy Trojans and No. 73 Georgia Tech.

Latest ActionKSU faced conference foe North Florida last week before taking a break from the Atlantic Sun to take on Georgia Tech. On Thursday the Owls took a 4-0 setback to the No. 69 ranked Ospreys. The Owls battled with inclement weather that caused the match to end early, but not before UNF sealed the victory with four points.

On Sunday, KSU headed across town to face the No. 73 ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, where the Owls fought but fell short in a 4-3 loss. The Black and Gold clinched the doubles point in the match, adding to its remarkable overall doubles record this season. KSU collected impressive wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles positions as well, taking down Georgia Tech's top ranked athletes in the contests.

Simon Pritchard (Newport, Wales / Millfield School) is off to a great start this season. Leading the Owls with an overall record of 20-9, the Wales native is 9-5 in singles play and 11-4 in doubles action. While playing at the No. 3 position in doubles, he and teammate
Jorge Wilton have put together a dominant record of 8-1 on the season.

Northern KentuckyNorthern Kentucky, led by head coach Brian Nester, holds a current record of 5-8 on the dual-match season and 0-3 in conference. KSU leads the all-time match-up with a 2-0 record over the Norse.

NKU will host Wright State on Wednesday (Apr. 1) before facing KSU on Thursday. The Norse fell 6-1 to FGCU in its last contest on Saturday (Mar. 28)Â

LipscombLipscomb, led by head coach Mario Hernandez, is currently 9-10 on the season and 0-3 in Atlantic Sun play. The Owls are 4-2 overall against Lipscomb, winning the last contest 6-1.

The Bison dropped their last match 5-2 against Stetson on Saturday (Mar. 28) and will come into Saturday's match after hosting USC Upstate on Thursday (Apr. 2).
