KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team took a tough 6-1 setback to Arkansas State on Sunday (Mar. 8) at Kennworth Park.

The Owls put up a fight in the doubles competition, winning at the No. 1 position but falling at No. 2 and No. 3, allowing the Red Wolves to claim the doubles point.

Seniors
Virginie Stein and
Jana Hueckinghaus defeated Julie Gauguery and Victoria Pisani 8-1 to post the lone doubles victory for Kennesaw State.

Singles action proved to be just as tough for the Owls.

Freshman
Cristina Martin recorded the only win for KSU, with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Jess Heeps-Eriksen at No. 4 singles.

KSU moves to 1-7 on the season and will be back in action on Thursday (Mar. 12) at 1 p.m. ET to take on UNC Asheville at Kennworth Park in Acworth, Ga.
