PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team sits in a tie for ninth place through 36 holes at the Web.com Intercollegiate, co-hosted by Atlantic Sun Conference foes Jacksonville and North Florida at the par-72, 5,967-yard Marsh Landing Country Club as the Owls carded rounds of 298-296 on Monday (March 30) and own a 18-over par total of 594 following the first two rounds.

"We were not our best today," said head coach Rhyll Brinsmead. "We only recorded 13 birdies for 36 holes and that really hurt us. We have to be more aggressive on the greens and be mentally stronger tomorrow. We are going to approach tomorrow's round with a new level of intensity and I am confident we will be successful."

Sophomore Dulcie Sverdloff led the Owls and is tied for 15th after posting rounds of 72-73 for a one-over par total of 145 after registering five birdies on the day.

Senior Ines Lescudier carded rounds of 75-73 for a four-over par total of 148 and is tied for 35th through two rounds, while classmate Kaew Preamchuen sits just behind Lescudier in a tie for 40th after turning in rounds of 75-74 for a five-over par score of 149.

Sophomore Laura Estefenn and freshman Henriette Nielsen round out the Owls and are tied for 59th after recording rounds of 76-76 for an eight-over par 36-hole total of 152.

No. 32 Miami holds an eight-shot lead through two rounds with a 13-under par total of 563 after posting rounds of 281-282, with No. 36 Florida State coming in second after shooting rounds of 292-279 for a five-under par total of 571. No. 41 Ohio State rounds out the top three and owns a four-under par total of 572 after carding rounds of 288-284 on Monday. The Hurricanes' Delfina Acosta owns a one-shot lead over Matilda Castren of Florida State with a nine-under par total of 135 after registering rounds of 67-68 on the day.

The third and final round of Web.com Intercollegiate concludes tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31 with shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. ET. Live scoring for the third round will be available HERE.
