TALKING POINTS
The Kennesaw State women's golf team looks to continue its strong momentum after a runner-up finish two weeks ago in Augusta as the Owls travel to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., for the Web.com Intercollegiate, hosted by Jacksonville and North Florida on March 30-31 at the Marsh Landing Country Club.
 
Senior Ines Lescudier has led the Owls during 2014-15 campaign and owns a team-low 73.32 stroke average through eight events. She also leads Kennesaw State with five top 10 finishes, including being the top finisher for the Owls in seven of their eight tournaments so far this season.
 
KSU received its highest national ranking in program history last October as the Owls came in at No. 43 in the Golfweek rankings.

THE FORMAT
The format calls for 54 holes to be played over two days, with 36 holes contested on Monday and 18 played on Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start time for both days.

The Marsh Landing Country Club is a par-72, 5,967-yard layout in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
 
THE FIELD
The 17-team field includes No. 35 Miami, No. 36 Florida State, No. 40 Ohio State, No. 41 Coastal Carolina, No. 46 Texas Tech, hosts Jacksonville and North Florida, Charleston Southern, Cincinnati, Daytona State, Illinois, James Madison, Kennesaw State, McNeese State, Minnesota, Texas State and Toledo.

Kennesaw State enters the tournament with a national ranking of No. 62 from Golfstat and is No. 61 by Golfweek.

About The Web.com Intercollegiate
The Jacksonville and North Florida women's golf teams will co-host the fourth annual Web.com Intercollegiate from March 30-31 at the Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The 2015 Web.com Intercollegiate will be the tournament's fourth-annual event at the Marsh Landing Country Club and will feature 16 Division I teams.
 
Last Time At… The Web.com Intercollegiate
The Kennesaw State women's golf team has previously participated in the Web.com Intercollegiate in 2013. KSU carded a final-round 18-over par 306 to tie for eighth place at the 20-team Web.com Intercollegiate that concluded Tuesday (April 9) at the par-72, 5,987-yard Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The Owls tied No. 44 East Carolina after finishing with a 54-hole total of 30-over par 894. Fourteenth-ranked Purdue claimed the team title with a 7-under par score of 857, finishing eight shots better than No. 28 Iowa State (865). Kennesaw State was led by former Owl Ket Preamchuen, who turned in her best performance of the season as she placed 10th with a 2-over par 218 total following rounds of 72-72-74.
 
Last Time Out... vs. Columbia
The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished second with a 28-over par total of 316 in its head-to-head tournament with Columbia on Tuesday (March 17) at the par-72, 6,128-yard Pinetree Country Club. The Lions turned in a 27-over par total of 315 to take first place in the two-team tournament. Senior Ines Lescudier shared medalist honors with CU's Rachel Shi after firing a five-over par 77.
 
Lescudier Leading Owls in 2014-15
Through eight events in the 2014-15 campaign, Lescudier has led the Owls with a 73.32 stroke average in 22 rounds of golf and has finished in the top 20 in seven of the eight tournaments, including five top-10 finishes at the Cardinal Cup, the Lady Paladin Invitational, the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate and against Columbia.
 
Lescudier Earns A-Sun Conference Golfer of Week Honors
Lescudier registered her season-best finish to lead the Kennesaw State women's golf team to a runner-up showing at the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate over the weekend and earned Atlantic Sun Conference Golfer of the Week accolades for her efforts, the league announced on March 18. The senior shattered the season's previous low individual 54-hole score with a two-under par 211 en route to a fourth place showing and did not record a score above par in three rounds at the 3M Jaguar Intercollegiate over the weekend. She opened the three-day tournament with a one-under par 70, before carding an even-par 71 on Saturday and finishing with a second 70 on Sunday. It was her sixth career A-Sun weekly honor and the fourth honor that the Owls have collected this season after Lescudier took home the accolade earlier this season along with senior Kaew Preamchuen and freshman Henriette Nielsen. Lescudier's six Golfer of the Week awards are tied for third most in A-Sun history.
 
Owls Receive Highest National Ranking in Program History
The Kennesaw State women's golf team received its highest national ranking in program history when Golfweek released its rankings the first week of October as the Owls came in at No. 43 in the rankings and are currently No. 66 heading into the spring season.
 
Challenging 2015 Spring Slate
KSU will see action in six tournaments in its spring season, including facing off against some big-time opponents at the Florida State Match-Up, the Hurricane Invitational and the Rebel Intercollegiate, to go along with the 3M Jaguar Invitational, Web.Com Intercollegiate and the Atlantic Sun Championships.
 
2014 Fall in Review
The Owls opened the 2014-15 season with a successful fall slate of tournaments, registering two top-three finishes out of the four tournaments KSU competed in. After opening the season with an eighth place showing at the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic in Fort Collins, Colo., KSU took third place at the Cardinal Cup, hosted by Louisville in Simpsonville, Ky., and was just three strokes off of second-place Memphis and nine strokes off host and tournament winner Louisville. The Owls continued its fall by finishing in a tie for seventh at the Furman-hosted Lady Paladin Inviational, before posting its best finish of the season with a runner-up finish at the East Carolina-hosted Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. KSU recorded a 31-over par total of 895 to best a pair of top-50 teams in ECU and Middle Tennessee. 
 
Head Coach Rhyll Brinsmead
Head coach Rhyll Brinsmead begins her eighth season at the helm of the Kennesaw State women's golf program. She has led the Owls to one Atlantic Sun Conference title and one NCAA Regional Championship appearance, both coming during the 2011-12 season. A talented golfer in her own right, Brinsmead played collegiately at Texas State and graduated in 2004.
