KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team travels to Birmingham, Ala. on Saturday Jan. 31 to face No. 71 ranked Samford at 1 p.m. ET in the first of two weekend matches at the Samford Tennis Complex.

KSU (0-1) is set to face a Samford team that is ranked No. 71 according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), after opening the 2015 season with a 7-0 loss to Chattanooga last weekend.

Samford comes into the match with a 0-2 record to start the season; both losses coming from ITA ranked opponents. The Bulldogs' first loss came from No. 10 ranked UGA (4-1), before suffering a 4-0 loss against No. 63 ranked Wake Forest.

The Owls will also compete against UAB on Sunday Feb. 1 at 12 p.m. to wrap up their two-match weekend.

UAB (0-1) is coming off a 5-2 loss to Memphis in their season opener on Jan. 18.
