ROUND THREE RESULTS ( PDF) GREENVILLE, S.C. – Senior
Ines Lescudier registered her second-straight top 10 finish to lead the Kennesaw State women's golf team at the Lady Paladin Invitational as the Owls tied for seventh in a strong 18-team field at the par-72, 6,266-yard Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C.
"This team is so close to being exceptional," said head coach
Rhyll Brinsmead. "To tie with North Carolina and be a shot from other top-15 ranked teams is a testament to just how good we are. It hurts right now that we missed a top-five finish, but I am very proud of my team. We can and will compete with the best teams in the nation. We belong at the top of the leaderboard. This will motivate us to keep working even harder."
The Owls posted a 14-over par total of 302 in their final round on Tuesday (Sept. 23) and concluded the tournament with a season-best 54-hole total of 893 at 29-over par.
Lescudier carded a three-over par 75 in her final round and tied for 10th with a two-over par total of 218, the lowest tournament score for the senior this season.
