GEN: Brandy Chenoweth Named Director of Marketing and Fan Experience

Chenoweth Joins Kennesaw State Department of Athletics after Stints at Clemson and Boise State

KENNESAW, Ga. – Brandy Chenoweth has been named director of marketing and fan experience at Kennesaw State, Director of Athletics Vaughn Williams announced on Thursday (August 7).
 
In her new role at Kennesaw State, Chenoweth will create and execute marketing plans for a portion of the Owls' 18 sports, including heading up the marketing and promotional efforts for the newly-added football program, which begins play in 2015. She will also develop promotional activities to maximize revenue and improve game atmosphere, while also overseeing both the athletics marketing social media and community relations efforts to improve exposure, participation and attendance at athletic events.
 
"I am thrilled to join the Kennesaw State Athletics team," said Chenoweth. "It is an exciting time for KSU and I am grateful to have the opportunity to promote Kennesaw State athletics, build traditions and help create lasting memories for all Owls fans who attend our events."
 
"We are very excited to have Brandy join the Black and Gold," said Lauren Katovsky, Assistant Athletics Director for Corporate Sales and Marketing. "With her experience at Clemson and Boise State, she understands Kennesaw State and will be able to hit the ground running. Brandy will fit right into our department with her outgoing personality and will begin to transform the marketing of our sports and our fan's experiences at events."
 
Prior to joining the Kennesaw State department of athletics, Chenoweth spent two years as a marketing associate at Clemson University where she led the marketing efforts and served as game manager for various sports, including women's basketball, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis, diving, rowing and track and field as well as assisting with the sponsorship and marketing efforts for football, men's basketball and baseball.
 
Along with her game day duties, Chenoweth implemented and oversaw the management of the ROAR Student program, a mobile based attendance check-in application, as well as the guerilla marketing efforts for the CU There Street Team, while also managing the social media presence for Clemson Athletics. In her two years as a Tiger, the men's soccer program saw its season ticket sales doubled as well as attendance doubling at men's tennis matches.
 
Before arriving at Clemson, Chenoweth served one year as a marketing and promotions intern at Boise State, where she earned her bachelor's degree in marketing in 2012. While at BSU, she worked directly with The Corral, the student spirit group, to develop brand and event awareness among students as well as writing marketing plans, helping with game day set-up and managing the social media efforts for Boise State Athletics.
