KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's track and field team was named a USTFCCCA 2014 Division I All-Academic Team for carrying a 3.13 GPA through the 2013-14 academic year.
"I'm proud of our ladies for being named USTFCCCA's All-Academic team," Director of Track and Field
Andy Eggerth said. "It's difficult for every student-athlete, but some of our girls show up for training a week before school begins in the fall and compete until a month and a half after school is over in the summer. It's a challenge to meet such high athletic and academic expectations all year long, but I'm glad that we were able to do our part to help the athletic department GPA and more importantly to prepare our young ladies for great careers."
The team not only had a great year in the classroom, but also was strong on the track by taking second place at the Indoor and Outdoor Atlantic Sun Championships as well as the 4x100 team earning second team All-America honors at the Outdoor NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
