KENNESAW, Ga. -Scrappy the Owl knocked off LU Bison late on Wednesday night 2473-182 to win Group A in the 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference Mascot Cup. The win was Scrappy's third straight and advanced him into the knockout stage as the group champion.

The voting all took place over social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Scrappy won the votes on all three social networks. Owl Nation showed up largely on Twitter, using #TeamScrappy which pushed the Owls to win on the platform by 2,193 votes.

Scrappy (3-0) will take on the runner up from group B on Monday July, 28. The match will take place between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. ET. Owl fans are encouraged to get on vote for Scrappy as many times as possible between those hours. A win will clinch Scrappy a berth in the Atlantic Sun Mascot Cup Championship Match.

How to vote
Twitter: The conference will send out two tweets per Mascot for each match at different times of the day. Fans can retweet or favorite that tweet to vote. Owl Nation can also tweet out Scrappy's official hashtag #TeamScrappy to vote for Scrappy as many times as possible.
Facebook: The A-Sun will provide a gallery for each match and fans can like or share to vote.
Instagram: The A-Sun will provide match photos and fans can like to vote.
