THE SERIES:
The Kennesaw State baseball team puts to rest the 2014 regular season this weekend with a three-game Atlantic Sun Conference home series against the Ospreys of North Florida.
 
KSU looks to make headway in the A-Sun standings, coming in at 30-21 overall and 14-9 in conference play while UNF arrives with a 22-26 record and a 11-13 mark in the A-Sun.
 
First pitch on Thursday, May 15 will take place at 6 p.m. ET in the Fifth Third Bank Strikeout Hunger game with Senior Day festivities taking place prior to Friday's 6 p.m. ET contest. The series wraps-up on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.

North Florida arrives at Stillwell Stadium with a 22-26 overall record and a 7-5 mark in the league standings. UNF boasts the top hitter in the nation in Drew Weeks who holds a .455 batting average with 92 hits.

The Owls will set their sails towards the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament next week, starting on Wednesday, May 21-25, as KSU looks for the A-Sun title and a trip to an NCAA Regional.

NEWS AND NOTES:
30-Win Season
KSU has won 30 games for the sixth time in program history since joining the NCAA Division I level. It also marks the second consecutive season that the Owls have reached the 30-win plateau.
 
Owls a Top Four Seed
The Owls have now clinched at least a No. 4 seed in the 8-team A-Sun Tournament with a win over Northern Kentucky and an East Tennessee State loss.
 
Pentecost at the Plate
Max Pentecost now ranks No. 2 in the nation in total hits with his 91 and holds the longest active hit streak in the country at 32 games and counting.
 
Offensive Showdown
The match-up pits together the top two hitters in the nation in Max Pentecost and Drew Weeks.

KSU Nationally
The Owls are back in the top 10 in the nation in total hits with 551. KSU also ranks in the top 30 in total runs this season with 322.
 
Double-Digit Hits
As a team the Owls have now played 32 games with double-digit hits including 16 out of the last 18 contests.
 
KSU Vs. UNF
In the series with the Ospreys, Kennesaw State has won nine of the last 12 games including two in the 2013 A-Sun Postseason Tournament.
 
McCalvin Sets the Standard
Closer Justin McCalvin set the new standard for saves in the KSU record book, earning his 11th of the season at Northern Kentucky to set a new KSU single-season record.
 
Multi-Hit Games
Pentecost now has 30 games with multi-hit games including 12 with three and two with four and has two or more hits in 11 out of the last 12 games.
 
Senior Day
KSU will celebrate the careers of three seniors during the Friday contest against UNF, honoring Andrew Austin, James Connell and Bo Way.
