FRANKLIN, Tenn. – The No. 35-ranked Kennesaw State men's golf team is currently in third place after two rounds of the 14-team Mason Rudolph Championship that is being held at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club's South Course in Franklin, Tenn.

Behind an even-par round of 71 from junior Jimmy Beck, the Owls posted an 8-over par 292 on Saturday and are at 12-over par 580, seven shots behind No. 14 Vanderbilt. The Commodores are at 5-over par 573 and hold a two-shot advantage over No. 1 Alabama (575).

"We played very well today but just didn't finish the way we wanted to," Kennesaw State head coach Jay Moseley said. "I was proud of the way we competed against two great teams and we proved that we are just as good as they are.  Tomorrow (Sunday) is just another day of golf so we will just approach it the same way and see what happens."

Freshman Teremoana Beaucousin recorded a 1-over par 72 and is tied for fifth at even-par 142, five shots behind Florida State's Jack Maguire, who recorded the low round of the tournament after posting a 5-under par 66 and leads the tournament at 5-under par 137. Georgia Southern's Charlie Martin and College of Charleston's Hunter Stewart are one shot off the lead at 4-under par 138.

Junior Austin Vick is tied for eighth at 1-over par 143, while Beck (146) is tied for 20th. Redshirt junior Kelby Burton (149) is tied for 36th and sophomore Carlos Segura Oliva (151) is tied for 46th.

The Mason Rudolph Championship concludes on Sunday with Kennesaw State grouped with Alabama and Vanderbilt and scheduled to tee off beginning at 10:40 a.m. (ET). All the action can be followed live on the Internet at www.Golfstatresults.com.
