PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The last couple of days, members of the Kennesaw State track and field team have competed in the 120
th running of the Penn Relays.
"Penn was a great learning opportunity for us and we took a couple of great performances from it," Director of Track and Field
Andy Eggerth said. "We have a few weeks now to fine tune for conference, and I'm confident our athletes will bring everything they've got to try to take home the titles."
Natan Reuter ran the 10k for the first time this season and did something that no other Kennesaw State track and field athlete has done before. He finished in 29:42.82 breaking the 30-minute mark. That time is leading the conference by more than two minutes.
Jabria Mitchell ran very well in the 400m hurdles posting a 1:02.33. That is the third best time in the A-Sun this year.
Mitchell and
Alicia Whittle both ran 55 second splits in the 4x400 to lead the team to a 3:49.26. In the men's 4x400,
Zac Davis and Drew Duggans both ran 47.3 splits and the team finished in 3:14.02.
Martynas Sedys continued the throw well in the hammer posting a 61.82m (202'9").
