THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State softball team returns to Bailey Park for its final regular season series of the year as the Owls look to make it 10 straight against East Tennessee State in a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. KSU and ETSU will play a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by the regular season finale on Sunday, with first pitch for both days set for 1 p.m. ET.
 
Prior to game one on Saturday, the Owls will celebrate Senior Day 2014 as seniors Amanda Henderson, Angie Dascoli, Carly Van Auken, Stephanie Phillips, Bianca Durant and Sara Sikes make their finale appearance at Bailey Park.

On Sunday fans can enjoy Sundae Funday as well as Softball Bingo in the Owls' final appearance at Bailey Park this season.
 
THE OPPONENT:
East Tennessee State
The Buccaneers come into this weekend's series with an 18-26 overall record this season and sit eighth in the A-Sun standings with a 6-13 mark in conference action. On the road the Bucs hold a 1-10 record away from Betty Basler Field. ETSU has won back-to-back games over Furman (5-0) and Jacksonville (4-3) entering a doubleheader at Libery that was rescheduled for today, Thursday, April 24 beginning at 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Kennesaw State softball team suffered an 8-0 five-inning setback to Georgia Tech in the Owls' final nonconference contest of the season on Wednesday night (April 23) at Mewborn Field. Junior Natalie Rhodes registered the Owls' lone hit of the game, a bunt single to third base in the top of the third inning.
 
NEXT UP:
Kennesaw State will look to advance to the 2014 Atlantic Sun Conference Championships with the completion of the conference slate on May 4. The A-Sun Championships will be hosted by Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., on May 7-10.
 
NEWS AND NOTES:
Owls Offense
Senior Angie Dascoli leads the Owls and ranks in the top 10 in the conference with a .353 batting average in overall action, while freshman Taylor Denton ranks fifth in A-Sun play with a .394 average. She also ranks fourth in the conference with 28 hits in conference action, as well as sitting in a tie for fourth with 19 runs scored.
 
Chambers in A-Sun Play
Sophomore Kara Chambers ranks 10th with a .373 batting average in A-Sun play, while also ranking in a tie for fourth with 19 runs scored and tied for ninth with 25 hits in league games.
 
Multiple Hit Games
Denton holds a team-leading 16 games with multiple hits, 12 with two and four with three, while Dascoli, Chambers and junior Natalie Rhodes own 14 multiple hit games.
 
Stolen Bases
Denton, Chambers and Rhodes have combined for 31 stolen bases on the year, with Denton taking 11 in 15 attempts, Chambers stealing 10 in 12 tries and Rhodes earning 10 in 13 attempts.
 
Triples
Rhodes ranks in a tie for third in the A-Sun and 56th in the NCAA with three triples on the year. The junior also owns a 1.000 fielding percentage, having not committed an error in 45 games.
 
Henderson in the Circle
Senior Amanda Henderson leads the A-Sun and is 34th in the nation with 175 strikeouts. She also owns the second-most wins and ranks 41st in the NCAA with 17 victories this season.
 
Owls in A-Sun Action
The Owls own the third best batting average in conference play with a .298 average, while ranking third in A-Sun play with 181 hits and are the co-leaders with four triples in league action.
 
Fielding Percentage
KSU owns the best fielding percentage in A-Sun play at .976 and the third-best fielding percentage in overall action at .965, which ranks 67th in the nation, while committing the third-lowest number of errors with 47 total errors, including a league-low 14 miscues in A-Sun play.
