RESULTS

AUBURN, Ala. –
The Kennesaw State men and women's track and field teams competed through rain and wind all weekend at the War Eagle Invitational.

"The weather tried to put a damper on our weekend, but our athletes refused to settle," throws coach Duane Morris said." With the rain and cool temperatures, we were able to post good times and decent marks."

On Friday, April 18, everything was cancelled except the men's hammer throw where Martynas Sedys placed second in a torrential downpour.

On Saturday, Hannah Wood posted the fastest time in the Atlantic Sun in the 200m with a 23.86 to finish in seventh.

Alicia Whittle ran the 400m for the first time this season and finished in eighth at the meet with a time of 55.75. That is the third fastest time in the A-Sun this season.

Shelby Wilson ran very well and set new PR's in the 1500m and the 5000m. She ran a 4:45.97 in the 1500 and a 19:08.96 in the 5k.

Bilal AbdullahTerrell SingletonAndre Dorsey and Joshua Mulder ran great times in the 110m hurdles. With the current times they put up this weekend, they sit in the top four spots in the A-Sun. Mulder's great run in the short hurdles carried over to his long hurdles. He ran 52.99 in the 400m hurdles to finish second at the War Eagle Invitational, and is now ranked first in the A-Sun, passing teammate Adullah.

Drew Duggans ran a solid time in the 200m posting a 21.28, and he ran a great leg on the 4x4. Rasmus Rooks ran well in the 100m with a time of 10.62.

Natan Reuter won the 5000m race with a time of 14:45.43.

"A number of our athletes moved up the A-Sun rankings, which is very good to see," Morris added. "For majority of the team, this meet was a final tune up before the A-Sun Championship in May. Our goal is to have a huge presence at conference and shock a lot of people. We will be ready!"

The multis will compete on April 23-34 at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, and a small group of individual athletes will compete in the prestigious Penn Relays next Thursday-Saturday to finish up the regular season.
