MARIETTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team fell 4-3 to Atlantic Sun Conference and in-state rival Mercer Wednesday at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta.
The Owls (8-8, 2-3) fell behind early as they dropped the doubles point at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. The No. 1 tandem of
Jorge Wilton and
Maksim Yorsh recorded an 8-5 victory over the duo of Oliver Snaider and Austin Emmet.
Kennesaw State won three singles matches as
Simon Pritchard, Yorsh and
David Durham recorded wins, Pritchard was a 6-1, 6-3 2 winner at No. 1, while Yorsh recorded a 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 2, and Durham registered a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5.
Kennesaw State will close out its 2014 dual-match home schedule on Friday (Apr. 4) when it hosts North Florida at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta beginning at 1 p.m. (ET).
