JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis opened the final weekend of the regular season with a 6-1 setback to East Tennessee State in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Friday afternoon at the Buddy Hartsell Courts in Johnson City, Tenn.
 
Senior Alexandra Apostu highlighted the Owls' (5-13, 1-6) efforts as she defeated Ana Gerbasi in a three-set match, 6-3, 6-7, 6-2. Apostu also teamed with junior Virginie Stein to record an 8-4 victory at No. 1 doubles. The win improved the duo's conference record to 7-0.
 
Kennesaw State team will close out its season on Saturday (Apr. 12) when it visits USC Upstate at 10 a.m. (ET).
