KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team will play its final pair of Atlantic Sun regular season matches on the road this weekend.
The Owls will open the weekend Friday morning (Apr.11) with a match against East Tennessee State at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex beginning at 11 a.m. (ET). The Owls will then travel to Spartanburg, South Carolina for a match on Saturday afternoon (Apr.12) with USC Upstate at the Upstate Tennis Complex at 2 p.m. (ET).
The Owls (8-9, 2-4) return to action after dropping a close match to North Florida 4-3 on Friday (Apr.2). KSU is currently tied for sixth in the Atlantic Sun standings with USC Upstate, and is looking to capture a spot in next weekend's A-Sun Conference tournament in Jacksonville, Florida.
ETSU enters the weekend with a 10-8 overall record, including a 5-0 mark in A-Sun Conference play after defeating USC Upstate over the weekend. USC Upstate (7-12, 2-4) was knocked off by East Tennessee State last weekend.
Maksim Yorsh has been impressive as of late for the Owls. He is 7-2 in his last nine matches, and has improved his overall record to 8-4. Yorsh leads the Owls with a 5-1 record in A-Sun play.
