STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. – Kennesaw State junior
Kaew Preamchuen continued her solid play at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate on Monday, carding a 1-under par 71 and is currently tied for third after two rounds.
After opening the tournament with a 1-over par 73, Preamchuen recorded four birdies during her second round at the par-72, 6,164-yard Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge. She has a 36-hole total of even-par 144 and is three shots off the lead that is held by Campbell's Kaylin Yost, who is at 3-under par 141 and has a one-shot advantage over Georgia State's Maria Palacios (142).
Preamchuen's performance helped Kennesaw State knock four shots off its opening round as the Owls posted a 13-over par 301 and are in fifth place with a 30-over par score of 606. Host Georgia State is currently leading the 16-team field with a 12-over par total of 588.
Campbell and Troy are tied for second, two shots back of the Panthers at 14-over par 590. Middle Tennessee is fourth at 25-over par 601.
Junior
Ines Lescudier (153) is tied for 25th, while freshmen
Laura Estefenn and
Dulcie Sverdloff are tied for 36th and 45th, respectively. Redshirt junior
Hayley Clinning (158) is tied for 52nd.
The John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate concludes on Tuesday with final-round action beginning with a 9 a.m. (ET) shotgun start. Kennesaw State will be grouped with Elon and Middle Tennessee. All the action can be followed live on the internet at
