WT: Kennesaw State Falls to Florida Gulf Coast, 6-1

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Junior Virginie Stein continued her season-long solid play as she posted a straight-set victory at the No. 1 singles position to highlight the Kennesaw State women's tennis team's 6-1 loss to Florida Gulf Coast in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Friday at the FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.
 
Stein, who improved her A-Sun Conference record to 3-0, dispatched Sarah Means, 6-2, 6-3, to record the Owls' (5-9, 1-2) lone victory.
 
The KSU junior also teamed with senior Alexandra Apostu to defeat Means and her sister, Elizabeth Means, 8-3.
 
Florida Gulf Coast (10-7, 3-2) went on to capture the doubles point and five of the six singles matches.
 
Kennesaw State returns to the courts on Saturday (Mar. 29) when it travels to DeLand, Fla., to take on Stetson at 10 a.m. (ET).
