FORT MYERS, Fla. – Sophomore
Maksim Yorsh won his No. 3 singles match to highlight the Kennesaw State men's tennis team's 4-2 loss to Florida Gulf Coast in an Atlantic Sun Conference match Friday at the FGCU Tennis Complex in Fort Myers, Fla.

Yorsh, who improved his A-Sun Conference record to 3-0, defeated Dean Tsamas in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3 for the Owls' lone singles victory.

Kennesaw State (8-6, 2-1) started the match strong as it won the doubles point, posting wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.
Simon Pritchard and #Louis Theodor posted an 8-6 win at No. 2 doubles, while
Jake Bouchillon and
David Durham combined to record an 8-4 victory at the No. 3 position.

With Florida Gulf Coast (7-9, 2-2) holding a 3-2 lead, the match came down to No. 1 singles where Pritchard was facing No. 62 Jordi Vives. The Owls' freshman fell 7-6 (7-3), 7-5 in a hard-fought contest.

Kennesaw State returns to the courts on Saturday (Mar. 29) when it travels to DeLand, Fla., to take on Stetson at 2 p.m. (ET).Â
