MESA, Ariz. – The Kennesaw State women's golf team finished ninth at the Clover Cup that concluded Sunday at thepar-72, 6,209-yard Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.
 
The Owls shot a closing-round 20-over par 308 to finish the 54-hole event at 47-over par 911. Louisville, ranked No. 38 in the current Golfstat rankings, captured the team title with a 24-over par total of 888 to edge host and No. 44 Notre Dame (889) by one shot. Colorado (893) finished third and was followed by Mississippi and Michigan, who tied for fourth with a 32-over par total of 896.
 
Junior Kaew Preamchuen was Kennesaw State's top finisher as she tied for 12th with a 6-over par score of 222, nine shots behind Notre Dame's Kristina Nhim who captured individual medalist honors with a 3-under par 213. Nihm finished one shot ahead of Michigan's Grace Choi and Colorado's Jennifer Coleman. Both players posted scores of 2-under par 214.
 
Freshman Dulcie Sverdloff recorded the low round of the day for the Owls on Sunday as she recorded a 1-over par 73 to finish at 7-over par 223 and tie for 16th.
 
Junior Ines Lescudier, who was coming off a victory at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational last week, tied for 31st, while junior Mette Kryger Pedersen (245) and redshirt-junior Hayley Clinning tied for 82nd (247), respectively.
 
Freshman Laura Estefenn (239), who was playing as an individual, tied for 70th.
 
Kennesaw State has a two-week break before  competing in the John Kirk Panther Invitational hosted by Georgia State at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga. The 36-hole event opens on March 30.
