MARIETTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team carried its recent momentum into Atlantic Sun Conference play as it breezed to a 7-0 victory over visiting Northern Kentucky on Friday at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta.

The Owls (6-5, 1-0), winners of three in a row, captured all three doubles matches and swept the six singles contests.

"We played well. I'm very happy with the way we competed and the way we represented KSU today," Kennesaw State head coach Eduardo Rincon said. "Our singles today was very good. The guys took care of each of their courts and they capitalized on each of their opportunities.

"We had a very god crowd out here today and that always helps especially when playing a conference opponent," Rincon added. "Our conference is strong and we're looking forward to tomorrow's (Saturday) match and the rest of the season."

Kennesaw State hosts Lipscomb at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta beginning at 1 p.m. (ET). It is designated as "Kids Day" by the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).  Free pizza and giveaways will be available to all kids in attendance.
