KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State baseball team struggled to find its offensive rhythm at Stillwell Stadium on Tuesday night, falling in midweek action to SEC opponent Auburn, 6-1.

The Owls put up one run on just one hit against the Tigers, moving KSU's record to 10-9 while the Tigers earn their 10
th win of the season, improving to 10-6.

Auburn started its scoring streak in the top of the first as Ryan Tella drove in the game's first run with a RBI single. The Tigers then picked up their second run after a Damek Tomscha homer in the third to go up 2-0.

The visitors picked up one more in the fourth before bringing across three in the fifth on two hits and a pair of walks to grab the 6-0 lead.

But the Owls weren't done, bringing home a run in the sixth after
Jacob Bruce reached on the two-base error before making it to third on the wild pitch.
Max Pentecost then grounded out, bringing home the run for the 6-1 score.

Center fielder
Bo Way earned the only hit of the night for KSU, belting a double in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Chris Erwin took the loss on the mound, giving up just one earned run in three innings pitched before being replaced by
Cole McArthur who lasted three innings as well.

Will Solomon went the final three innings of the contest, keeping the Tigers hitless while striking out three.
Â
Auburn starter Justin Camp earned the win while going 6.2 innings allowing just one hit and striking out four. In the field, the Tigers committed five errors.

KSU will have a quick turnaround, playing again on Wednesday at 5 p.m. ET against Western Carolina at Stillwell Stadium.
