THE GAME:
The Kennesaw State softball team welcomes in Mississippi State and Furman in three midweek contests as the Owls close out a seven-game home stand and will face Mississippi State in a single game on Tuesday, March 11 at 5 p.m. ET, before hosting a doubleheader against the Paladins on Wednesday, March 12 starting at 2 p.m., at Bailey Park. Tuesday's game can be seen on ASun.TV.

THE OPPONENT:
Mississippi State enters Tuesday's contest with a 20-4 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Southeastern Conference (SEC) action.
Furman comes to Kennesaw with an 11-10 overall record and has yet to start play in the Southern Conference.
THE SERIES:
The Owls lead both series with the Bulldogs and the Paladins, with KSU holding a 2-1 edge against MSU and a 9-2 advantage against Furman.
The Owls last faced the Bulldogs in the 2011 Phyllis Rafter Memorial Tournament where they earned a 3-2 win over MSU, while a season ago KSU posted a pair of wins over the Paladins, 4-3 and 1-0.
LAST TIME OUT:
The Owls opened Atlantic Sun Conference action over the weekend, going 2-1 against North Florida. KSU took two victories over the Ospreys on Saturday, 10-8 and 5-3, behind solid pitching from senior
Amanda Henderson, but dropped the series finale 1-0 on Sunday. Junior
Natalie Rhodes posted a .500 batting average with five hits and three runs for the Owls, while seniors
Sara Sikes and
Angie Dascoli each registered three RBIs.
NEXT UP:
The Owls head north for their first road trip of the conference season when they face Northern Kentucky in a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday, March 15-16 in Highland Heights, Ky. KSU and NKU will play a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday, with a 12 p.m. start time for both days.

Team Fielding Percentage
The Owls own the third-best fielding percentage in the Atlantic Sun Conference at .964 with 416 putouts and 143 assists in 580 chances, including eight double plays, while only committing 21 errors on the season, the third-lowest total in the league.
Strikeouts
The Owls rank second in the A-Sun in batters struck out with 124 strikeouts in 139 innings.
Henderson in the Circle
Senior pitcher
Amanda Henderson leads the Owls in the circle and ranks in the top seven in the conference in several categories, including strikeouts (second, 75), appearances (second, 14), wins (second, nine), innings pitched (second, 65.1), opposing batting average (fifth, .170) and ERA (seventh, 1.82).
Dascoli Leading the Offense
Senior
Angie Dascoli leads the Owls with a .345 batting average, which sits top 20 in the conference, while owning the second-most hits with 19 and the third-most RBIs with six.
Double Sutter
Sophomore
Courtney Sutter is the co-leader in the league in doubles with seven on the season and leads the Owls with 12 RBIs this season.
Rhodes Taking Charge
Junior
Natalie Rhodes has played in every game for the Owls this season, starting all but one of KSU's 20 games, and owns a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with 37 putouts and two assists. She also leads the Owls with 21 hits and six stolen bases and is 6-for-7 on the season in attempts.
