WT: Kennesaw State Travels to Alabama for Two Matches

Owls set to face Troy and Arkansas State this weekend

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team resumes its spring dual match schedule when it travels to Troy, Ala. for two weekend matches at the Lunsford Tennis Center on the campus of Troy University.

The Owls (4-3) open the trip with a match against Troy on Friday (Feb. 28) beginning at 2 p.m. (ET). KSU meets Arkansas State on Saturday (Feb. 29) in a neutral site match at 1 p.m. (ET). Both matches will be held at the Lunsford Tennis Center.

The Owls return to action after their win over Georgia Southern last Saturday (Feb. 22) at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta, Ga.

Troy enters the weekend with a 3-5 mark after defeating No. 72 Nicholls State 4-1 last Saturday.

Arkansas State (2-3) won 6-1 over South Alabama on Feb.22.

The Owls are led by senior Alexandra Apostu, the reigning Atlantic Sun Player of the Week who is 6-1 in singles in the dual season. She is was named the A-Sun Conference's Player of the week after posting straight set victories over the No. 2 singles players at Georgia State and Georgia Southern.

Apostu has won six straight matches and is 5-0 at the No. 2 singles position.
