THE SERIES:
The Kennesaw State baseball team continues a four-game road trip this weekend, playing a three-game series at Jacksonville State starting this Friday, Feb. 28.
 
First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET followed by a pair of 2 p.m. ET games on Saturday and Sunday.

THE OPPONENT:
Jacksonville State looks to better its 4-3 record on the year and snap a nine-game losing streak to the Owls. The pitching staff of the Gamecocks has been performing well thus far, holding a team ERA of just 3.48.

LAST OUTING
For the first time since 1989 the Kennesaw State baseball team made its way down I-75 and came back home with a win over Georgia Tech, taking down the Yellow Jackets on the road 5-3 in 12 innings of action at Russ Chandler Field.

NEXT UP:
KSU returns home for a seven-game home stand starting on Tuesday, March 4 as Georgia State comes to town fo a 6 p.m. contest at Stillwell Stadium.

NEWS AND NOTES:
KSU vs. JSU
KSU has gotten the better of the Gamecocks in the last nine meetings between the two schools.

On the Road
So far in 2014 the Owls have not lost on the road, defeating both Georgia and Georgia Tech away from Stillwell Stadium.

Offensive Production
With 69 runs scored and 112 total hits, the Owls continue to pace the Atlantic Sun Conference in nearly every offensive category.

Max Pentecost looks to continue his 10 game hit streak this weekend after the catcher has hit safely in the team's first 10 games of the season.

Bergen from the Hill
Starting pitcher Travis Bergen continues to lead the A-Sun in strikeouts with his 15 through the first three weeks of the season.
 
In Relief
Justin McCalvin is quickly becoming one of the top relief pitchers around, holding a 9.90 ERA in five appearances. McCalvin has tossed 10 innings allowing just one earned run while striking out nine without giving up a walk.
