MARIETTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team continued its solid play of late as it recorded a 4-3 victory over Georgia Southern at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta on Saturday.

The Owls (4-3), who were making their home dual-match debut, won their fourth match in their last five outings.

Kennesaw State won the doubles point after sweeping all three matches.

Gabriela Bueno cruised to an 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles to record the Owls' first win, and the duos of

Virginie Stein /
Blaire LaSure recorded wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, respectively.

In singles play, Apostu and Hueckinghaus registered victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively, before sophomore
Isabela Castro secured the Kennesaw State win after defeating Stephanie Woods, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.

The Owls return to the courts on Friday (Feb. 28) when they travel to Troy, Ala., to take on Troy beginning at 2 p.m. (ET). Â
