ATLANTA, Ga. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team had its three-match winning streak snapped on Friday as it fell 6-1 to Georgia State at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

Senior
Alexandra Apostu accounted for the Owls' (3-3) lone victory as she posted a 6-4, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles. The victory improved her overall season dual-match record to 5-1 and 4-0 at the No. 2 position.

In doubles action, Apostu and junior
Virginie Stein suffered an 8-3 loss to the No. 33-rankend tandem of Abigail Tere-Apisah and Masa Grgan. Georgia State (3-5) also won at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots to capture the doubles.

Stein faced 10th-ranked Tere-Apisah and fell 6-3-61.

Kennesaw State returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 22) when it hosts Georgia Southern in its first home match of the season at Fair Oaks Park in Marietta. First serve is scheduled for noon (ET).
