MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team completed a successful weekend on Sunday as it defeated host Alabama State 5-2 at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex in Montgomery.
 
The win was the third in a row for the Owls who improved to 3-2 on the season.
 
Kennesaw State swept the three doubles matches before capturing the No.'s 1-4 singles.
 
Virginie Stein, Alexandra Apostu, Jana Hueckinghaus and Isabela Castra all won their individual matches, Stein and Apostu handled their opponents at No. 1 and No.  by 6-1, 6-1 scores, respectively. Hueckinghaus outlasted Melissa Teifer, 6-2, 2-6, 6-0 at No. 3, and Castro used three sets to record a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 victory over Brankica Orlovic.
 
Kennesaw State returns to the court on Friday when it travels to Atlanta to take on Georgia State beginning at 1 p.m. (ET).
