MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State men's tennis team turned in its most dominating performance of the season on Sunday as posted a 7-0 victory over Alabama State at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Complex in Montgomery.
The Owls (3-4) had little difficulty with the Hornets (1-6), sweeping all three doubles matches and six singles contests.
"We learned a lot of valuable lessons this weekend that will help us develop as a team," head coach
Eduardo Rincon said. "We learned a lot about the dynamics of dual match and what we can do to either keep the momentum or get it back."
One player building a lot of momentum is freshman
Simon Pritchard who went 3-0 at No. 1 singles, including a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Alabama State's Dylan Cleary on Sunday.
The Owls also received singles wins from
Jorge Wilton (No. 2),
Maksim Yorsh (No. 3),
Louis Theodor (No. 4),
David Durham (No. 5) and
Jake Bouchillon (No. 6).
