MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Kennesaw State women's tennis team continued its winning ways as it defeated Jacksonville State, 4-3, at the Olean Black Underwood Tennis Center Saturday in Montgomery, Ala.

The Owls (2-2) came up big in singles play as they won four of six singles matches after losing the doubles point.

Junior
Tamara Plocher won the decisive match for Kennesaw State as she recorded a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Zoe Bizinos at No. 5 singles. The Owls also posted wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 singles.

Virginie Stein handled Raisa Guasti, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, while
Alexandra Apostu blanked Olivia Nguyen, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 2 singles, and
Isabela Castro recorded a 7-6, 6-2 win over Danielle Kerindi at No. 4 singles.

Kennesaw State's lone doubles victory came at the No. 2 position where Stein and
Blaire LaSure outlasted Aleksandra Cmijic and Sadey St. Amant, 8-6.

The Owls concluded their weekend visit to Montgomery when they take on Alabama State at 3 p.m. (ET).
