Â
The Owls are in 18th place after posting a 9-over par 297 and are 21-over par (597) for the tournament. Host UCF continues to lead the 19-team field with a 9-under par score of 567, two shots better than Miami (569).
Â
Iowa State (573) is third and followed by East Tennessee State (288) and Augusta State (579), which rounds out the top five.
Â
"Overall we improved our team score by three shots from yesterday," Kennesaw State head coach
Rhyll Brinsmead said. "Although we dropped in the team standings, I told the team we have no control over what other teams shoot.
Â
"I'm fairly satisfied with the majority of our play but we need to be more precise and aggressive," Brinsmead added. "Tomorrow is a very important day for us. It is essential we get some quality head-to-head wins. I am very pleased with Dulcie (Sverdloff) and Kaew's play today, but the best is still to come."
Â
Sverdloff posted an even-par 72 and is tied for 45th, while freshman
Laura Estefenn is tied for 80th, and juniors
Ines Lescudier and
Mette Kryger Pedersen are tied for 89th.
Â
