KENNESAW, Ga. | FIFTH THIRD BANK STADIUM (8,300) GAME NOTES | LIVE STATS | LIVE VIDEO (SUNDAY ONLY) | PROMOTIONS | TWITTERTHE MATCHES:Following two weeks away from Fifth Third Bank Stadium, the Kennesaw State soccer team returns to host back-to-back Atlantic Sun Conference matches with the Owls first taking on Stetson in its conference home opener on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. ET, before facing 2013 A-Sun regular season champion Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m.
Sunday's match against the Eagles will be broadcast on ASun.TV, with Kaleb Frady calling all the action from Fifth Third Bank Stadium.

THE PROMOTIONS:The first 250 fans at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Friday night will get a KSU Owls scarf. Along with the giveaway, Friday night will be International Night as Kennesaw State celebrates a night of international culture. The International Student Association will be on the concourse with a cultural experience and will also be providing halftime entertainment.
On Sunday, the Owls will aim to Pink Out the stadium as it is Red Card Cancer and Pink Out Day at the stadium. In partnership with the Red Card Cancer organization, the Owls will be raising money to go to Red Card Cancer, who partners with Johns Hopkins. Wristbands and t-shirts will be available with a donation. The first 250 fans will also receive a free collapsible water bottle at Sunday's match.
THE OPPONENTS:Stetson/Florida Gulf CoastThe Hatters (2-8-1) are coming off of a loss in its A-Sun Conference opener, falling to Jacksonville, 2-1, last Friday and have one match in its last five with a 1-0 win over Charleston Southern on Sept. 21. Eduarda Pavao paces Stetson with seven points on three goals and one assist. The Eagles (8-3) are on a four-match win-streak entering their Friday matchup with USC Upstate prior to Sunday's contest with the Owls. FGCU opened league play with a 3-0 win over North Florida on Sept. 26 and are led by Tabby Tindell (12g, 4a), Shannen Wacker (4g, 8a) and Paulina Speckmaier (5g, 4a).
THE SERIES:The Owls own a 6-2-1 edge against the Hatters and have won three-straight from Stetson, including a 1-0 victory on in last season's only meeting between the two programs as former Owl

LAST TIME OUT:The Kennesaw State soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Lipscomb in its Atlantic Sun Conference opener on a clear and cool Saturday night (Sept. 27) at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex. It was just the second time in program history that the Owls fell to the Bisons after winning nine of the last 10 meetings between the two teams. Senior

NEXT UP:Kennesaw State next opens a three-match road trip, first traveling to Jacksonville, Fla., for a pair of league contests. The Owls will start its road weekend with a 7 p.m. match against Jacksonville on Friday, Oct. 10, followed by a 1 p.m. match against North Florida on Sunday, Oct. 12.
NEWS AND NOTES:A-Sun Conference Home OpenersThe Owls own a 6-2-1 record in Atlantic Sun Conference home openers and have played the Hatters three times before in their league home beginner, taking a victory in each of the three contests.

Maggie Gaughan leads the Owls with 10 points on five goals this season. She sits in a tie for second in goals (five), while also ranking in the top 10 in points (10, t-fifth), points per game (0.91 points/game, eighth), goals per game (t-fourth, 0.45 goals/game) and game-winning goals (t-second, two).

Olivia Sturdivant leads the Owls in goal and holds a 1.76 goals against average in 818 minutes of action, which sits her in sixth in the A-Sun in that category. She also ranks in the top eight in the league in save percentage (eight, .680), saves (sixth, 34), saves per game (seventh, 3.78 avg./game) shutouts (t-fourth, one) and shutouts per game (fifth, 0.11 shutouts/game).
Offensive Comes Alive vs. SamfordWith the Owls' 4-2 win over Samford, KSU scored four goals in a match for the first time since the 2012 season when the Owls earned a 4-2 win over North Florida on Oct. 12, 2012.
Career Days vs. SamfordIn the Owls' 4-2 win over Samford, Reed registered a career-high three points in a match with a goal and an assist, while freshman
Ashtah Das recorded her first career point on the assist on the game-winning goal against the Bulldogs.
Multiple Goal GamesGaughan owns three two-goal games after scoring a pair of second-half goals in the Owls' win over Samford. She is tied with current assistant coach Rachel Beckler for sixth in program history for multiple-goal games.
Corner KicksThe Owls rank third in the Atlantic Sun Conference with 48 corners in 11 matches and are averaging 4.36 corners per match this season.
